UNKNOWN BLACK : A DIFFERENT PERCEPTION OF BLACK FOOD
The color black is widely associated with grief, death, and misfortune. At the same time, black can also refer to elegance, individuality and the mysterious. Black food is often prejudiced and may lead to confusion and misunderstandings. The exhibition deals with the scientific background of this topic and attempts to recreate it by artistic means.
The artists explore black food and present their findings using installations, sculptures, music and film—true to the motto “Science meets Food Art.” The exhibition opening is framed by a musical live performance, interactive installations, conceptual food and drinks.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Prof. Dr. Guido Ritter of the “food lab muenster,” the founder of the “entretempo kitchen gallery,” Tainá Guedes, and the artists of the “Art.5 Collective,” Amadeus Lindemann and Chiara Weis.
